The wedding festivities are complete. You’ve celebrated the day with your loved ones, eaten great food, and danced the night away in your beautiful wedding dress. What are the top honeymoon destinations to consider? Where can you go to have a great time? There are so many travel options when it comes to planning the honeymoon destination. If you’ve decided to have a beach vacation to relax and enjoy the sun, here are a few great destinations to consider:

Greece: If you want a good mix of culture and amazing beaches, Greece should be on your top tropical honeymoon destination list. It is romantic, beautiful, historic and also has amazing food. Your biggest challenge will be figuring out which island to visit in Greece. Spring and early summer are the best times of the year to visit Greece (April – June) or fall (Sept to mid- October) if you want to avoid the high season and hot temperatures.

French Polynesia: Made up of over one hundred spectacular islands and atolls, French Polynesia is full of amazing lagoons, volcanic mountains, and long beaches. The most popular of these islands is Bora Bora, Marquesas Islands, Moorea, Tahiti, and Tuamotu Islands. Turks & Caicos: Southeast of the Bahamas, Turks & Caicos is a British Overseas territory that consists of a chain of low-elevation coral islands in the Atlantic Ocean. It’s a great location if you’re looking for ultimate relaxation, but it also has plenty of things to do, like golfing, snorkeling, nature walks, sunset catamaran cruises, shopping etc., if you prefer an activity-filled vacation. Turks & Caicos has fantastic weather all year round.

Amalfi Coast: The Amalfi Coast is a 50-kilometer coastline located in the Campania region along Italy’s Sorrentine Peninsula.  It is a popular area to vacation with steep cliffs and shorelines lined with beautiful turquoise waters and lovely fishing villages. One of the prettiest areas on the Mediterranean coast, located in the French Riviera between Villefranche-sur-Mer and Beaulieu Sur Mer. It is an old, peaceful seaside resort, perfect for relaxation. Very luxurious, with plenty of yachts coming in and out of St. Jean, it is full of high-end villas that are concealed mostly in tropical gardens. It is known to have moderate, comfortable temperature throughout the year.

Seychelles: Made of 115 islands in the Indian Ocean, Seychelles is a beautiful location off East Africa. Immaculate, uncrowded white beaches with clear blue waters, old granite boulders and fantastic natural wonders are what you will find in Seychelles. You can go island shopping, visit the natural reserves and marine parks, and taste the Creole cuisine. The main inner islands are Mahé, Praslin and La Digue. And if you love beaches, Anse Source D'Argent is one of the most photographed beaches in the world. The best time to visit is between May to September.

Phuket is the largest island in Thailand in the Andaman Sea. The island is known for its beauty, fantastic restaurants, and beach resorts. Phuket has a everything you would want in a vacation – spas, excellent restaurants, beaches for snorkeling, water sports, diving and sailing, temples, markets, caves, and rainforests for hikers. The best time to visit Phuket is between November and April – it’s the best time to take part in the beach activities. Avoid May and October as it is monsoon season and water conditions tend to be dangerous.

Antigua/Barbuda: Antigua and Barbuda are in the middle of the Leeward Islands in Eastern Caribbean. Both islands are known for their fabulous coastline, pink and sandy beaches, clear waters, beautiful weather and friendly people. Peak season and the best time to visit Antigua is between mid-December and mid-April. May and June are also nice months to visit these paradise islands.

Madagascar: If you’re an outdoor/adventure lover, Madagascar is where you’ll want to be. It’s the 4th largest island in the world with plenty of things to do – rock climbing, mountain biking, hiking, diving, swimming, and several natural pools to relax. It’s nature at its best, with both the rainforest and the dessert within 300 km of each other. The wet season is from December to March. The best time to travel to Madagascar is between April to mid-December. The temperature is great year-round.

Galapagos Islands: Off the coast of Ecuador, the Galapagos islands is a cluster of 19 islands and several smaller islets, with Santa Cruz Island and San Cristobal Island being two of the most popular islands to visit. What you can expect is volcanic rocks, white sand beach, and beautiful water. Diving, watching wildlife, snorkeling, hiking, kayaking and surfing are just some of the things you can do on these islands. There’s really no bad time to visit the Galapagos Islands, although June to December are drier and cooler months.
